Topside Down Zodiac Rug
My friend Brady decided to re-decorate his house by placing this very nice Chinese zodiac rug in his livingroom. There is only one problem:
the rug's top surface has been placed facing down, therefore all the characters are shown as mirrored images.
鼠 - Rat (or Mouse)
牛 - Ox (or bull)
虎 - Tiger
兔 - Rabbit
龍 (simplified version: 龙) - Dragon
蛇 - Snake
馬 (simplified version: 马) - Horse
羊 - Sheep (or Goat, Ram)
猴 - Monkey
雞 (simplified version: 鸡) - Rooster (or Cock)
狗 (or 犬) - Dog
豬 (simplified version: 猪) - Pig

Erm, how can a wheel be upside down?
Mirrored, yeah, but upside down?
;p
Brady has placed the rug upside down that is all. All the characters are correct. I have to cut him some slack since he does not understand Chinese. We have fixed the rug later on.
Duh. Of course. Didn't think it through; I'm used to carpets that are weaved in a fashion so that there is no way of mistaking which side is supposed to face the floor. Nice rug, though...

Hey great site you have here, you never really pay attention to most of those tats people have. You really should check what your doing before permentatly inking yourself esp in another language you may not be native to but a lot of people don't use their heads and put too much trust in the guy with the needle. I was wondering if you could tell me how to acuratly write kristina in chinease or japanease thanks.
Kristina in Chinese.
