Too Much "Pain" To Handle

I don't know if it was shoddy worksmenship by the tattoo artist, or this person could not handle the pain any longer, but the character 疼 was not completely finished. It is missing a second dot in the 冬 partial.
疼 = (it) hurts; love fondly (dotes); ache; pain; sore
The five characters below are phonetic Chinese translation of the name "Joshua" and "Wayne".
