This "Respect" poster is for sale at various online stores. Both characters are poorly written. The top character 尊 is missing a horizontal stroke in the 酋 partial, and both top two strokes are suppose to be stand alone. The bottom character 敬 is missing its 口 partial.

I just can't understand how this sort of thing happens. On a tattoo I can understand because some "artist" is drawing it freehand (although they could use a stencil to transfer it to skin and then ink it). But on these poster designs and whatnot, how are parts of the characters missing? Are they not using a computer to type the characters?

just wondering if you've seen this one, and if so, if it's the real thing... it doesn't look chinese to me, but then again, i'm only a beginner.
They are Korean Hangul characters.

Is that collegehumor pic supposed to be 한자 as the caption suggests? It looks more like 한국 to me. "Chinese character" isn't quite so clever in Korean, after all...does anybody have a good resource for reading cursive-style Hangul?
