"Mountain Bike"

http://www.oma-sk.tripod.com/Tattoo_-_vaden.jpg

means "bicycle" and 過山單車 means "mountain bike". Perhaps both the client and tattooist had too many concussions resulted from mountain biking accidents.

The 單 is a spectacular piece of penmanship.

Obviously that guy doesn't like Chinese calligraphy as much as he likes mountain bikes. Seriously, if you're going to get drunk and get a tattoo, at least make sure the tatooist is sober.

Great site. I have always wondered why people would tattoo words or symbols from a language they do not know. Do they feel that a (misspelled) form of an english word is cool to have? *shrugs* I am not chinese, but I'd certainly feel insulted if I were.

I don't think the Chinese are insulted so much as confused...

And man, is that crappy writing, or what.

It looks like him and the tattooist were both on a freakin' mountain bike whilst the tattoo was being done... reminds me of that jackass episode when one of those jackasses got a tattoo whilst in a moving vehicle over bumpy terrain.

I want to know who makes these stenciles? Even if you can't find a Chinese guy near by, check it with Babelfish (world.altavista.com) for the simple characters. Blow the friggin characters up and print them out - they look much better than most of the tat stenciles.
