This young man wanted to join United States Navy, but his recruiting officer emailed me asking for tattoo translations and to see they are appropriate under U. S. Navy Uniform Regulation Article 7101.6.




幸 (lucky; fortunate) appears to be upside down, 友 (friend) looked more like 反, and the Japanese-specific character 権 (rights; authority) is missing a few strokes.




勢 (power; force; tendency) and 夢 (dream) are both missing a few strokes.

I hope this navy recruit does not have the same fate as this guy.
