Granted the character was done correctly, but the question still remains:
What is the purpose of having 糞 (excrement; feces) tattooed on one’s leg?

The drop-shadow looks very Photoshop, and the highlights on the leg don't seem to be matched in the tattoo...
I'm thinking it was one of those situations where the customer went into the shop and asked for "the asian symbol for my name" or something like that and the artist was in a shitty mood.

As a frequent Photoshop user, that doesn't look consistent enough to be a PS drop shadow to me.

"The Shit" it may be in the US, but I don't ever recall any Chinese use the word that way. It really has all the negative connotations without the benefit of being badass... Shit, he might as well go with the slang 大便.
It's a warning that he carries Hep A, which is attributed to eating tainted food w/ fecal matter.
Probably wanted "the shit," but isn't smart enough to realise that different languages have different idioms.
That was red shaded under the black. I have more problem with a tattoo artist signing his "shit"...ha ha ha
I am sure Danny Fowlerwish he can use a Time Machine to un-sign this piece of "shit"....

Looking closer, it almost looks like the small text below the character says "BS"... which is close enough to the meaning, though I still don't know why anyone would want that as a tattoo.
It just occurred to me that one of the reasons that this photo looks so odd it that this person placed their leg on a scanner instead of using a camera... Or it appears that way...

Yeah, add more words like "我喜欢吃" before it. Maybe even do it a bit artistic and have that in a circle around it.
So, I just watched that "shit for brains" video... I don't know why I am always surprised at how stupid Americans are. I am ashamed.
